Best Academy 8th grade scholars Tour of the South to historic Atlanta, GA. Scholars visited Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's) such as Spelman, historical sights such as the Martin Luther King home and much more.
SCHOLAR ENRICHMENT
Best Academy provides enrichment activities and supports to meet our scholars' needs during the school day and beyond, as well as opportunities to explore new interests and expand their horizons.
For example, we provide:
Extracurricular activities for our scholars and their families throughout the year, such as reading fairs and culturally specific programming.
Student support services including guidance counselors and nurses.
Extended Day Programming: An hour of arts, music, STEM or other enriching programming M – Th for the last hour of the day.
Sponsored events like Best Buy's Geek Squad Academy Camp that gave scholars an opportunity to explore Digital Music, Film and Script, Digital Citizenship, 3D Printing, Robotics, and Circuits and Logic.
8th grader Michael Underwood representing Best Academy at the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame event. Michael was selected to speak at the event honoring six outstanding leaders for their excellence in business and philanthropy.
Through a partnership with MacPhail Center for Music, 5th and 6th grade scholars perform at Orchestra Hall as part of our strings program.
